After 20 year of working as a paralegal/legal assistant in Virginia, I changed careers and entered the very different field of education. Rediscovering my love of languages and other cultures was a delightful experience and continues to inspire my love of language as I teach French, Latin, and English at The Oakland School. As the wise saying goes, "Figure out what you love to do, then figure out a way to get paid for it!" To have this opportunity is a real privilege.

My goal is to help my students enjoy the learning of a new language and also learn more about their own language in the process.

I am married and have a wonderful husband, dog, and cat. In my spare time I enjoy reading, gardening, cooking, numerous sports, and of course, travel.
