To be a successful teacher at the
Oakland School one must daily teach the subject, force
the issue, and sustain the learning. I have been doing
it for 27 years, serving as an administrator for the
past 16 years.
My students are challenged to find
personal connections with reading & writing in all
of my classes. I believe that young persons have things
to say and issues to examine, and I think they have
a right to be heard. What better way to learn than to
be engaged with your own experiences in a variety of
classes?
I suggest you drop by and pay us a
visit to discover if the Oakland School might be the
place for you. You will be very welcome.
