Nigel Calvimontes Awarded Eagle
Scout
Senior
Nigel Calvimontes was presented his Eagle Scout at an
award ceremony held on May 20 at the Schenley Park Ice
Skating Rink. Exceeding the required 21 badges of merit,
Nigel's project was the designing and construction of
a greenhouse at the Reformed Presbyterian Home of Pittsburgh.
The ceremonies included the Running
Horse Singers and Dancers of the Order of the Arrow.
The color guard was from BSA Troop 274. Ceremony roles
were also held by Nigel's Scoutmaster, a BSA representative,
and scouts from the troop. Nigel's parents received
gifts marking the award.
The new Eagle Scout hosted his family
and friends at a buffet and slide show of his scout
history, especially in Chicago. Native American history
came to life when the scouts of the OA, Running Horse
Singers and Dancers, demonstrated dancing traditions
from several tribes.
Congratulations, Nigel!
