Quadriga Consort Visits

This free-spirited Austrian Renaissance band is composed
of 7 young musicians - - voice, recorders, viols, harpsichord,
and percussion - - who seamlessly blend the traditions
of early music from Ireland, England, and Scotland.
The group's performance on March 15 was made possible
by the Renaissance and Baroque Society. The society
was hosting the musicians for a public performance in
Oakland.
The musicians described and demonstrated all of the
instruments. The vocalist was especially good with tales
of the origins of each song.
The Quadriga Consort was well received with much after-show
discussion and demonstrations.
